Yoga Classes in Esperaza, Languedoc-Roussillon

I was introduced to Hatha yoga in 1986 and have been practising, studying and teaching regularly since 1994.  My current yoga classes are in Esperaza in Aude, South West France.

Yoga is the Sanskrit word generally translated as 'union'.  Union is the goal of the practice, where everything is one.  During the classes we begin by trying to unite the physical body with the instruction, developing awareness of our physical capabilities, uniting the mind, body and breath.

I received my first teaching diploma in 1998 from the British Wheel of Yoga and continued my studies with a one year 'post formation' from Yoga d'Energie in Ax en Provence, France.  I then completed the 52 week correspondence course with one months intensive training in teaching children Yoga in India, where I was awarded a Certificate of Proficiency in Yoga by Yogacharini Meenakshi Devi Bhavanani of ICYER (The International Centre of Yoga Education and Research).
