Information about Languedoc, South France

The Languedoc Roussillon area of South France is a beautiful part of the world, with something to attract everyone.  It is blessed with a wide range of landscapes - with the Pyrenees mountains offering challenging walks in the summer and skiing in the winter, miles of beautiful forests and the Mediterranean coastline providing a great variety of beaches for swimming.

The capital of the Languedoc area is Toulouse and the nearest cities to Esperaza are Carcassonne and Perpignan, both of which have airports with regular flights back to the UK.  Languedoc-Roussillon includes the departments of Gard, Hérault, Aude, Lozère and the northern most section of the Pyrénées-Orientales.
