Yoga Holidays in Languedoc-Roussillon, South France
|
I was introduced to Hatha yoga in 1986 and have been practising, studying and teaching regularly since 1994. I currently teach yoga classes in Esperaza, in the Languedoc area of South West France. This year I will also be offering week long holidays in this beautiful and up-lifting environment. During your yoga holiday you will be able to refresh and balance both your body and your mind, practice yoga and meditation as well as having time to explore the foothills of the Pyrenees, with its wine growing areas of Fitou, Minervois and Corbieres. An oasis of calm memories, yoga postures and breathing techniques to draw upon throughout the year. Yoga is the Sanskrit word generally translated as 'union'. Union is the goal of the practice, where everything is one. The word Hatha comes from the Sanskrit "Ha" meaning sun and "Tha" meaning moon. Hatha Yoga uses postures (Asana) and breathing techniques (Pranayama) to attempt to balance the body and mind. During the classes we will begin by developing awareness of our physical capabilities, uniting the mind, body and breath. You will also be able to enjoy the wonderful locally grown food and regional specialities such as goats cheeses, sheep's cheeses and organic honey, visit local markets, go swimming in beautiful rivers or walk in the unspoilt mountains and watch the eagles soar. A holiday to nourish your soul. You can reach me in France on: Saveria Harding E-mail saveria.harding@yahoo.fr
